A 5-way 3-position solenoid valve is a type of valve that has five ports and three distinct positions. It is commonly used in pneumatic and hydraulic systems to control the flow of fluid or air. The valve has three possible positions: neutral, extend, and retract.
Working principle:
When power is cut off, KSV08-58C-0-N stops the flow of oil to any oil port. When coil 1 is energized, the oil can flow from ⑤ to ② and from ④ to ③. When coil 2 is energized, the oil can flow from ⑤ to ④ and from ② to ③. After the valve core moves, load sensing is connected to port ⑤.

Rated load of coil: capable of continuous operation within the range of 85% to 115% of rated voltage
Initial current of coil at 20 ℃: Standard coil: 1.2 A at 12 VDC, 115 VAC (full wave rectification)
At 0.13 amps. E-coil: 1.4A at 12 VDC; 0.7 Amps at 24 VDC
Minimum pull-in voltage: 85% of rated value at 207 bar (3000 psi)
Medium: Mineral oil with a viscosity between 7.4 to 420cSt (50 to 2000ssu) or synthetic oil with lubricating properties

Here's a description of the ports and their functions in a typical 5-way 3-position solenoid valve:
Supply Port (P): This port is connected to the pressurized fluid or air supply. It is the main input port for the valve.
Exhaust Port (E): This port is used to release fluid or air from the valve when it needs to be depressurized or exhausted.
Cylinder Ports (A and B): These ports are connected to the actuator, typically a double-acting cylinder. Port A is the extend port, which supplies pressure to extend the cylinder, while Port B is the retract port, which supplies pressure to retract the cylinder.
Center Position (C): This position is the neutral or off position of the valve. In this position, Ports A and B are blocked, preventing any flow of fluid or air to the actuator. Both Ports A and B are connected to the exhaust port, allowing the fluid or air trapped in the cylinder to be released.
Extend Position (E): In this position, the valve connects Port P to Port A, allowing the pressurized fluid or air to flow from the supply port to the extend port of the actuator. Port B is connected to the exhaust port, allowing the fluid or air in the retract port of the actuator to be released.
Retract Position (R): In this position, the valve connects Port P to Port B, allowing the pressurized fluid or air to flow from the supply port to the retract port of the actuator. Port A is connected to the exhaust port, allowing the fluid or air in the extend port of the actuator to be released.
